This is a tutorial about Garena, a program that allows you to play LAN games with people that aren't anywhere near your area. I find Garena very useful, as i play Wacraft 3 with my friend's and there is almost no lag. I've tried working Garena with Counter-Strike, but failed. If anyone is able to figure out how to start Garena with CS(S), PM me and Ill post a tutorial on TrueGameStudios.

What is FreePlay?

FreePlay is a meeting ground where you can chat with and challenge other players from around the world to play in a wide selection of arcade games with minimal, often undetectable lag.
How do I get started?

1. Install .NET Framework 3.5
2. Create an account here
3. If using FireFox, Install the FFClickOnce plugin
4. Launch the 2DF FreePlay Client

(Do not download the .application file! If using Internet Explorer, the application will automatically launch when clicking the above link. If using FireFox, you must select "Run ClickOnce Application".)

Note: For best performance, use a wired internet connection. Wireless connections will often result in dropped games.

How does it work?

You use the 2DF FreePlay Client to connect to the 2DF FreePlay Server. After challenging or accepting a challenge from another player in the game of your choice, the game is automatically launched and the players automatically connected. No need to worry about mismatching emulator versions or swapping IP addresses.
Features

* Instant replays.
* Private messaging.
* Detailed stat tracking (wins/losses, character usage, matchup probabilities, etc.)
* Automated player rating system.
* Ignore harassing players.
* P2P connection for best performance.

Roms can be found here:
http://blog.dogg3h.com/wp-content/uploads/roms/
(I've been playing Street Fighter III 3rd Strike: Fight for the Future. If you want to play it too, you need to download both the 'sfiii3.zap' and 'sfiii3n.zip' files.)

Directions:
1) First download and install the .NET Framework 3.5.

2) ***IMPORTANT*** YOU MUST RESTART YOUR COMPUTER AFTER INSTALLING OR IT WILL NOT WORK!
3) After restarting your computer, go back to 2DF's home site and register.

(Yes you have to verify your e-mail. I may take up to 10 minutes for you to recieve the e-mail)
(They give you a set password provided with the e-mail, take that and login with it. Once logged in you can go to edit > Sign-In Information > Change Password)

4) If you are using Mozilla Firefox, install the FFClickOnce Plugin, and then restart firefox.

5) Then return to 2DF home page and click the 'play' button located at the top next to the 'forums.'
6) Click 'Run ClickOnce Application' and let it set up the 2DF requirements.
*If you have done everything correctly, it should install everything for you.
7) Once it is done installing, you can go to the 2DF home page and press 'Play' again.
**This time click 'Run ClickOnce Application.' This starts up the 2DF client.
NOTE: You must do this everytime to start the client.
8) Download roms provided or wanted.
9) Move the .RAR files into a folder labeled 'ROMS'
10) Move the 'ROMS' Folder into your C:\ Drive.
11) Log into 2DFighter with the information registered with.
12) Once logged in click the 'Setting' icon and click 'RomPath1.'
13) Click the browse or button that looks like this [...]
14) Go to where the 'ROMS' folder is located, select it, and select 'open.'
Almost there! Keep going!
15) Now go back to the list of games, if you did everything correctly, you should be able
to right click > join room. Then you right click the games' name again and click
'show in game browser'
16) Click 'Play Alone' or wait for someone to challenge you! You're now set, go kick some nunchuck!

*At the moment you aren't able to host, but I will make a tutorial on how to host later on.
